- Paperboy:
The PC and console game Paperboy is almost legendary. The newspaper boy had his first appearance in 1984 – at that time still as an arcade game in a slot machine. The game has lost none of its appeal to this day.
With Paper Boy Rush, gratisspiele.net presents a successful clone that almost reaches the original and can of course even surpass it in terms of graphics. Play Paperboy online now for free and indulge in nostalgia.
In Paperboy you slip into the role of a paperboy. You are on your bike and have to deliver newspapers to your customers. At the beginning of the game, you will be told how many newspapers you have to deliver. Not every one of the houses on the street has a customer of yours. Therefore, pay close attention to which house you deliver a targeted newspaper toss and which not. To make it easier for you, customer mailboxes are colored green.
Non-customers have red mailboxes. For a newspaper to be considered “delivered”, it has to end up in the mailbox. You don’t get any money for hitting a customer’s house and the newspaper isn’t scored either. Passers-by block thrown newspapers. So choose the right moment when it comes to the newspaper toss…
Be careful not to crash into vehicles on the road or hit the curb. You then fall, costing your life (heart meter above). You have three lives at the start of the game. But during your tour, you will also encounter “hearts” on the road, which you can collect to have more lives.
Additional newspapers can be found on the street. To collect it, simply ride your bike over it.
You can spend the money you earn by distributing the newspapers to upgrade your bike or to better equip it. Of course, with the aim of earning even more money with the souped-up bike.
Paperboy’s game controls are keyboard-only:
Up Arrow: Accelerate, drive faster
Down Arrow: Brake, slow down
Left/Right Arrow: Change lanes in the appropriate direction
Spacebar: Throw newspaper
Key “P” – Pause
Key “S” – Sound
- Micro Machines:
Micro Machines – these are toy cars that could be found in many children’s rooms in the 80s and 90s. In 1991, the success of the toys was transferred to the increasingly popular PC with the car racing game Micro Machines.
gratisspiele.net presents here with Racing Toys a really successful and absolutely equal clone to Micro Machines.
At Micro Machines, you look down on the race track from above, which can be a bit unusual at first. But don’t let that stop you and give it a lot of gas to drive away from your competitors and cross the finish line first.
As in other well-known car racing games like Mario Kart or 3D Mario Kart, in Micro Machines you can collect items on the track and use them to your advantage. For example, treat yourself to a turbo boost for even faster progress or upgrade with rockets to shoot your opponents off the track.
Use the mouse to set the game settings and start the game:
Click on “New Game” in the main menu to start a new game or select “Continue” to continue an old game.
Then decide on a racetrack (initially only one is available to you, you can unlock more racetracks with the money you earn while playing). The same applies to the game mode: In the standard, you can choose “Classic Race”, where you compete against the computer (CPU). You can then use the money you win to unlock additional game modes.
After you have selected the desired racecourse and game mode, you can click on “Next” to select the vehicle. Here, too, you only have one vehicle to choose from, but you can immediately adapt the color to your wishes. With the money you earn, you can improve the technical properties of your vehicle or buy another vehicle.
At the top of the menu bar you can, for example, look at the game goals you have achieved (“Achievements”), deactivate the music (“Note” button) and enter your player name by clicking on the “Player” field. You can also exit the game here by clicking on “Quit”.
The actual game control of Micro Machines runs only via the keyboard:
Up
Arrow: Accelerate Left / Right Arrow: Steer
With the combination of the arrow key “up” and the arrow key “left” or “right” you can go down.
Spacebar: Use picked up items
